Based on the classic Frank Capra movie, this musical version of It's A Wonderful Life is fast becoming a tradition for local theatre companies across the country. Taking inspiration from Dickens' A Christmas Carol, this inspirational story follows down on his luck business man George Bailey, who is thinking of ending it all on Christmas Eve. His life is saved by Clarence, an Angel who descends from heaven to show George how the world will be a much poorer place without him in it.

This musical It's a Wonderful Life boasts a book and lyrics by Tony and Pulitzer winner Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof). It was first produced in Indiana in 1988, and eventually made it to Broadway, as a staged reading, in 2005, with Frasier's David Hyde Pierce among the cast.
