Heavy metal meets classical music, Apocalyptica celebrate over 20 years together!
Never a band to skimp on ambition, Dream Theater has announced their massive North American tour in celebration of their 40th anniversary. As always with this exceptional prog-rock band, these shows will be spectacular fusions of music, lighting, and stage design. Expect deep cuts, classic hits, fan favorites and brand newer anthems!
Originating from Umea, Swedish hardcore punk band Refused formed in 1991. Enjoying a long and lasting legacy thanks to their unique blend of hardcore, punk and metal, the outfit broke many a rocker's heart when they split up following the release of the seminal album The Shape of Punk To Come in 1998. Luckily the punk gods intervened and the outfit announced their long-awaited reunion in 2012, a miracle considering the band's original and explicit declaration to never reunite! But now, the Swedish outfit are breaking up once again and kick off their farewell tour next year!
The music of King Crimson is celebrated by a group of musicians that are less "tribute band" more "supergroup"! Legendary guitarist Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danney Carey join former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin to tour a show performing the best bits from the legendary prog-rockers' three 1980s entries, Discipline, Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair... plus potentially a few surprises!
It's been over 20 years since Apocalyptica first put forth their unholy alliance of metal and classical music in the form of debut album Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. The Finnish cello metal band formed with the intention of playing Metallica and other heavy metal band covers, but each subsequent release featured more and more original music until fourth album Reflections announced their fully-fledged status as original artists.
Get ready to raise those fists in the air, Korn are heading to LA for the 30th Anniversary of their self-titled album Korn'. Expect to hear old iconic material from the nu-metal godfathers with Evanescence, Gojira, Scars On Broadway joining Korn in support. Don't miss your chance to alternative metal live this fall!
Breaking through barriers with their original sound, Godsmack is one of the most unique alternative shows around. The band comprises founder, frontman and songwriter Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill and drummer Shannon Larkin. Don't miss a chance to rock out, head banging, and generally bring some noise when Godsmack play live near you!
