Oregon Symphony - Pictures at an Exhibition

Oregon Symphony - Pictures at an Exhibition at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

Why see Oregon Symphony - Pictures at an Exhibition?

A spectacular night of music from Oregon Symphony

Fusing art and music, Modest Mussorgsky's famed and acclaimed work 'Pictures at an Exhibition' uses music to describe the artworks featured in an exhibition in this dazzling display of orchestra. The work was created as a tribute to artist, architect and friend of Mussorgsky, Viktor Hartmann after his death. The piece has been performed by many musicians numerous times since its inception.

The night also includes a world premiere by 27-year-old Gabriella Smith, Nicol Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1 and Missy Mazzoli's Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres).
