A titan of the 20th century
Celebrating the great George Gershwin
Celebrating the great George Gershwin
A titan of the 20th century is celebrated at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, as the Oregon Symphony Orchestra transport us to George Gershwin's jazz-infused world with his Piano Concerto in F. Immerse yourself in the wonderful sounds from one of the greatest American composers, conducted by Antony Hermus and featuring Aaron Diehl on piano.
Also on the program is Symphony No. 10 by Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, an exquisite piece covering the full breadth of human emotions, as well as Frontispiece for Orchestra by South Korean contemporary composer Unsuk Chin.
