A visionary, genre-bending mash up of Beethoven's Eroica Symphony & the music of Coldplay
Whilst the genres of pop and classical music may seem worlds apart, the dance-floor filling anthems and feel-good smash hits of the 21st century owe their form, harmonies and arrangements to the orchestras and composers of the 1700 and 1800s. Experience a sublime marriage of the old school and the new during the Oregon Symphony's Beethoven V. Coldplay concert at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall this fall!
The ensemble is lead by Steve Hackman, a multi-talented producer, writer and conductor who applies modern techniques to the classical repertoire and vice verse. Together with pop vocalists Malia Civetz, Ben Jones and Will Post, Hackman presents Beethoven's Eroica Symphony as you've never heard it before. The rule-breaking epic is combined with the melodies and lyrics of iconic British soft rock outfit Coldplay's most memorable tunes including 'Paradise', 'Fix You' and 'The Scientist'.
