I have seen Neil about 20+times in my life. And CSNY 3 times. NEIL YOUNG never disappointed.

Shaking my head

I'm absolutely dumbfounded by the three star and less reviews here for this show! Neil performed 23 songs + 1 encore. A mix of classics and several brand new songs including the live debut of one! His performance was riveting from start to finish, the playing and singing was impeccable. He did in fact play all three pianos (including a 9 foot steinway which had been partially burnt in a fire) AND the pump organ on stage along with at least 4 of the guitars, a banjo (Old King!) and the Ukelele on the encore. You can't please everyone I guess. Cannot wait to see Neil with Lukas Nelson's band in Eugene on Thursday.

Neil did not disappoint at all in his performances. It was an incredible evening with a mixture of his old and new music. He can still rock it like he did in his younger days....I loved every minute of the mellow yet energized feel of the concert. The crowd never sat down...they were on their feet swaying or dancing to the music all night. My review of 5 stars is for Neil's performance. What let me down in a big way was the lack of screens....all of them except the stage were turned off. I suspect it was Neil's decision but it annoyed me. I spent way too much money to see a dot on the stage. What used to be lawn seats are now chairs. It had been so long since I went to the venue that I didn't realize they did that. Concerts have become so cost prohibitive....I find it so disappointing that I can no longer attend lots of concerts, let alone, afford the seats where you can actually see the performers.

Being in the presence of Neil Young was the beginning and end to an amazing performance. I could never say I was disappointed. The Coastal Tour is a gift and I was grateful to receive the gift of Neil playing whatever he wanted to play and in the manner he chose to showcase his gifts. Peace Neil and thank you.

I saw Neil Young at the Greek Theater in UIC Berkeley and the Oxbow River stage in Napa. I was glad to hear him play whatever songs he chooses. He is 77 years old, so the days of CSNY are long gone. Watch the classics you want on Youtube. I hope he continues to tour and play in smaller venues.
