Taking Back Sunday

August 3, 2017

Taking Back Sunday are touring North American in 2017 in support of their latest release Tidal Wave. Hailing from Amityville, NY, Taking Back Sunday have been familiar names on the emo-punk rock scene since the early 2000s, their angst-driven lyrics striking a chord with Thursday, Brand New and Jimmy Eat World fans across the US.

Simple Plan are back with a new record and tour. Taking It One For the Team is the group's first new record since 2011's Get Your Heart On!, and is a bountiful mix of old-school straight-ahead pop punk, like second single 'Opinion Overload', and more chart ready material, like the group's funky duet with Nelly, 'I Don't Wanna Go To Bed'.

British electronica duo Goldfrapp are headed back over stateside this fall for a brand-new tour, in support of their seventh studio album, Silver Eye. Released in March 2017 to almost universally positive reviews, with their singles Anymore, Ocean and Moon in Your Mouth receiving praise for their stylings.

Future Islands

September 21 - 22, 2017

Up until 2014, Future Islands were an acclaimed, but lesser known synth-pop band from Baltimore, but that all changed with their appearance on David Letterman's Late Show. Not only was lead singer Samuel Herring's dancing the stuff that memes' dreams are made of, but the song they played, 'Seasons (Waiting on You)', was obviously something special. Later named by Pitchfork as the best track of the year, 'Seasons' proved to be the band's breakthrough, and they now stand as one of the indie world's most respected groups.

It's been 20 years since Apocalyptica first put forth their unholy alliance of metal and classical music in the form of debut album Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. The Finnish cello metal band formed with the intention of playing Metallica and other heavy metal band covers, but each subsequent release featured more and more original music until fourth album Reflections announced their fully-fledged status as original artists.
