Why See Oregon Ballet Theatre - Rhapsody in Blue?
A new collaboration
Gershwin's iconic Jazz Age composition, as re-tooled by Pink Martini's Thomas Lauderdale and classical pianist Hunter Noak, who'll accompany the dancers live at each performance, as choreographed by Nicolo Fonte.
Inspired by a rhythmic train journey to Boston, Rhapsody in Blue is by the composer's own admission, 'a sort of musical kaleidoscope of America, of our vast melting pot, of our unduplicated national pep, of our metropolitan madness.' Incorporating elements of classical music, jazz, swing and plenty of pizazz, it is an uplifting and entertaining journey for the performers as well as the audience.
Never Stop Falling (In Love)
Choreographed by Nicolo Fonte
Music from Pink Martini
